Luis A. Avilés
Chief Executive Officer
 Luis
obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Harvard
Law School
in 1992. He also holds a Master Degree in Physics from the Harvard Graduate
of School of Arts and Sciences and a Magna Cum Laude Bachelor in Science from
the University of Puerto
Rico at Mayaguez.
In 1992 he joined the Corporate and Banking Department of Goldman Antonetti
Córdova & Axtmayer as an Associate. In 1997 he became a Partner of the
law firm of Axtmayer Adsuar Muñiz & Goyco, where he continued his
practice of business and securities law, investment company law, mergers
& acquisitions, real estate, computer and intellectual property law. Mr.
Avilés is a member of the Business Law Section of the American Bar
Association, the Colegio de Abogados de Puerto Rico,
the Asociación de Notarios de Puerto Rico, the Hispanic
National Bar Association, the Greater San Juan Committee and the American
Physical Society. He is also the President of the Puerto Rico Chapter of the
Harvard Law School Alumni Association, a member of the Philanthropy Committee
of the Puerto Rico Community Foundation and a Member of the Chancellor's
Advisory Board of the Universidad Metropolitana of the Ana G. Méndez
University System.
Luis A. Sanchez

 Dr.
Sanchez entered the IP world back in the late 80s as part of the technical
team NEARNet and original member of BBN Planet. Dr. Sanchez
was part of the architecture team that designed BBN Planet’s (now Genuity) first Managed Firewall
and VPN Service offering. Luis was also part of the architecture team
for Continental Cablevision’s first IP over cable network (now MediaOne part
of @home). Luis serves as chair of the IP Security Policy Working Group of
the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), the group in charge of
standardizing protocols for the Internet. Luis is credited with several
internet protocols and standards. Before founding XAPIENS Corporation Luis
was Director of Security and Policy Architecture of Megisto Systems a Germantown,
MD based start-up company developing
purposed built GGSN technology for 3rd Generation Wireless Systems. Luis
holds a Bachelor, Master and PhD in Electrical Engineering.
